Head of Information Technology - D365 Experience

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Information Technology with D365 experience to join a leading UK business in the manufacturing and distribution sector. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Board and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive IT and data strategy across all group businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of the IT strategy, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Manage a team covering data analytics, user support, and third-party software management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Board and Senior Leadership Team, providing regular updates on IT projects and performance.
  • Oversee supplier relationships, including day-to-day management of Managed Services Partners and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies and procedures to safeguard organisational data and IT systems.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT department.
  • Ensure the IT team delivers responsive and effective support to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain IT credit card expenditure and ensure timely resolution of invoice queries.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as required to support business objectives.

Candidate Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in relevant IT service areas.
  • D365 experience
  • 5+ years’ experience as a senior individual contributor designing, implementing, and supporting endpoint infrastructure at scale in a customer-focused enterprise.
  • Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of IT systems, services, and hardware.
  • Proven experience leading IT teams and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic IT initiatives that support business growth.
