This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

We are seeking a Head of Innovation Programmes & Partnerships to lead high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship programmes including accelerators, boot camps, and hothouses for innovators and entrepreneurs from a range of internal and external audiences. In this role, you will take responsibility for ensuring programmes the University is contracted to deliver achieve their aims and are effectively managed and delivered.

You will work through matrix relationships with colleagues to ensure programmes deliver against strategic aims while supporting practical effectiveness and ensure programmes are sustainably resourced through effective bid development and budget management.

Leading a delivery team and reporting to the Nexus Director, you will work to scope out and develop new opportunities to build on existing programmes and pilot complementary activities. Working in close partnership with the Principal Innovation Ecosystem Architect, you will translate ecosystem priorities and defined outcomes into programmes and feed delivery insights back to inform future strategic direction.

You will have significant experience in planning and delivering innovation-led projects, programmes or initiatives involving multiple partners/stakeholders combined with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. You’ll also be a strong communicator and have a proven ability to influence and negotiate with a range of people at all levels.

This is not a generic programme management role, but one requiring subject knowledge of innovation ecosystems, and the ability to design and adapt programmes for diverse audiences; extensive experience of innovation and entrepreneurship programmes is essential.
