About The Role

Role: Head of Level – BSc DTS
Location: Home-based commutable to London/Birmingham
Competitive Salary

As a Head of Level in the Degree Apprenticeship team in QA, you will be working with learners who are studying alongside full-time work to develop themselves in their professional specialism. You will also support the Programme Lead in the coordination and planning of the academic and apprenticeship delivery of the Programme, ensuring University and QA standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Support the effective management of the Programme.
  • Coordinate and plan the delivery of the programme.
  • Act as the first point of contact for academic queries.
  • Implement the University’s academic and quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Feedback from apprentices in evaluations to judge the quality of learning.
  • Teach modules, act as module lead where appropriate and complete marking.
  • Assist with preparation for exam boards.
  • Liaise with Module Leaders/Tutors regarding delivery, assessment, marking and management of the modules.
  • Organise and conduct inductions for that year of the programme.
  • Ensure the academic and operational delivery of programmes are at the required level.
  • Compliance with all University and QA standards.

Your Experience / Skills

  • Ability to deliver practical and engaging teaching and learning sessions.
  • Industry experience within subject area.
  • Excellent, detailed knowledge of Software Engineering and Data.
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeships and work-based learning, or knowledge of Higher Education.

Essential Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree (MSc or similar) or PhD.
  • Teaching qualification or a desire to obtain one, preferably Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
