An exciting opportunity to lead the marketing effort for an innovative business with significant growth potential and global reach. Leading a small team, you will have responsibility for delivering a cutting‑edge B2B marketing strategy that will help grow our key markets and reinforce our brand leading position.

The inventor of one‑way vision graphics, Contra Vision’s window film products are highly visible on the high street, transport hubs, sports stadiums, vehicles, offices and retail stores for advertising and privacy across the globe. The company has operated for more than 40 years and is well respected in its specialist field for its continual innovative, creativity and technical expertise. Its small but dynamic team of 25 people are employed across different countries, with more than half in our UK office in Bramhall, near Manchester.

To deliver the marketing plan, the Head of Marketing will be supported by two marketing team members, one in the UK and one in the US, driving communications, managing our marketing channels and creating content.

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader, with a strategic mindset and at least 10 years’ experience in marketing and multi‑stakeholder management. The ability to clearly communicate plans, achieve buy‑in from colleagues and meet defined objectives is key. We also want someone who can help with content, design and planning exhibitions as required.

Key accountabilities and activities

  • Own the brand, website and content plan globally
  • Manage and oversee the marketing team, including marketing consultants, to deliver high quality content and deliverables. Set individual objectives and ensure the team has a strategic direction as well as being task focussed. Establish and maintain a best practice marketing function which works to an agreed brief which is owned by the business
  • Establish closer relationships and insight with our distributors to establish effective marketing channels
  • Take direct responsibility or delegate responsibility for key marketing activities including the website, events, email marketing and social media.
  • Set business requirements for marketing consultancy and manage relationships.
  • Direct marketing activity to “grow the market”
  • Train and develop the marketing team to build leadership behaviours and core marketing skills and plan for succession.
  • Management and execution of marketing strategies and projects
  • Experience in international marketing, ideally in north American market.
  • Excellent understanding of customer requirements and market developments
  • Networking with clients to build strong and lasting relationships
  • Good at engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders at Board level
  • Understands the value of products and services and how best to position these within the market to generate maximum return
  • Excellent listening skills to recognise and pull together ideas and creativity from various sources.
