Head of Modelling & Optimisation, Head of Pricing Transformation

Two positions are available: Head of Modelling & Optimisation and Head of Pricing Transformation.

These roles are within our Retail Pricing - Modelling & Optimisation division.

Location: We operate flexible hybrid working arrangements with offices based in Manchester and Peterborough.

Role purpose

The successful candidate will lead technical pricing solutions to drive commercial outcomes across the company. This includes strategic and technical leadership, team management, organizational awareness, change management, collaboration, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic ownership and leadership of pricing solutions
• Drive change and innovation for continuous improvement
• End-to-end development of pricing models using a tailored pricing pipeline
• Utilize pricing software to build predictive statistical models and optimize customer prices intelligently
• Enhance and implement improvements to the pricing process to boost performance and efficiency
• Lead research and development to innovate current modelling and pricing methodologies
• Ensure compliance with pricing governance and controls
• Collaborate with the Street Pricing Team to align models with business objectives and manage stakeholder relationships
• Manage a team with varied experience, including managers

About you:

• Experience managing pricing teams and managers
• Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences, especially senior stakeholders
• Extensive experience with general insurance products, current trends, and issues
• Experience with WTW Radar or Earnix software
• Strong commercial acumen
• Experience in retail pricing optimization
• Proficiency in predictive modelling techniques
• Skills in statistical and data science programming languages
• A quantitative degree
