Our prestigious and market-leading client, based in Shipdham, is seeking a Head of Equine & Smallholder Nutrition to join their well-established and successful team.

As the Head of Equine & Smallholder Nutrition, you will oversee product development, feed trials, sampling, and nutritional analysis of feeds in line with current legislation. You will also provide equine nutritional advice via phone, email, shows, and events, requiring excellent communication skills and approachability. Additionally, writing articles, presenting nutritional lectures, and attending industry conferences are integral parts of the role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing an award-winning team of nutritionists.
• Involvement in new product development and research.
• Overseeing feed trials and ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Working with the Company Director on sampling, analysis, and interpretation.
• Collaborating with Marketing on technical documents.
• Providing nutritional support and training to Sales Managers.
• Attending conferences and reporting findings.
• Writing articles and marketing materials.
• Coordinating customer service related to nutrition.
• Delivering nutritional talks at events and educational establishments.

This role covers both equine and smallholder animals, including poultry, pigs, sheep, goats, and cattle. Candidates should have experience managing a team, leisure horse experience, and ideally hold a relevant Master's Degree.

Required skills include:

• Outstanding animal nutrition knowledge, especially in equine, with some smallholder experience preferred.
• Master's degree in Equine Science, Animal Science, or related fields.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive, creative, enthusiastic, and driven attitude.
• Computer literacy and a full UK driving license.
• Residence within 45 minutes of the Norfolk Head Office.
