About The Opportunity

We have a new opportunity for a visionary Head of Product - Platform and AI Products to architect and lead the strategy for scalable, secure, and intelligent platform capabilities. This is a chance to set the direction for AI innovation that impacts every customer and product.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year strategy for platform and AI product development, from APIs and identity/auth to data pipelines and AI-powered conversational agents.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, design, and commercial teams to bring new AI capabilities to life.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers.
• Set clear success metrics, balancing foundational platform stability with breakthrough AI innovation.
• Champion ethical AI, privacy, and security across all product decisions.

Your Overview

Salary: Up to £100k per annum.

• Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing group of Product Managers focused on Platform, AI, and Core Services.
• AI Integration: Drive innovative AI-powered product features, collaborating closely with Data Science and Engineering.
• Scope: Shape and own multi-product, cross-functional platform and AI strategies that impact the entire organisation.
• Reporting To: Senior leadership including Chief Product Officer / CTO.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Commercial teams to deliver impactful products.
• Work Model: Flexible hybrid working with regular presence at Chester HQ.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven leader of product teams in platform, infrastructure, or data, ideally in fast-scaling organisations.
• Skilled in discovery, prioritisation, delivery, and stakeholder alignment.
• Strong technical fluency with cloud-native platforms, APIs, and AI/ML products.
• Experience launching AI-powered features like recommendation engines, automation, or conversational UX.
• Clear communicator and trusted collaborator across teams.
• Strategic mindset focused on outcomes balancing tech and business needs.
• Knowledge of AI ethics, privacy, and security.
• Hands-on, motivating leader who gets things done.
