Salary: from £68,227pa plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 12% of annual salary

The role in a nutshell
We’re looking for a dynamic and people-focused leader to join us as Head of Public Sector Customers. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead our dedicated public sector team, shaping strategy, driving growth, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across our public sector portfolio. You’ll be responsible for customer retention, framework renewals, and operational excellence, while promoting collaboration, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
This role suits someone who thrives on building strong relationships, leading high-performing teams, and possessing a strategic mindset with a passion for public sector service. What will your typical day look like?
- Leading and inspiring a team of Account Managers and Business Development professionals.
- Developing strategic plans to grow and retain the public sector customer base.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and representing Wave at industry events.
- Collaborating across departments to improve service delivery and customer experience.
- Overseeing key frameworks and contracts, ensuring Wave remains the trusted partner of choice.
- Driving innovation in customer engagement and influencing procurement decisions.
- Supporting your team’s development through coaching, regular check-ins, and engagement activities.
What we need from you
- A people-first leadership style with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
- Proven experience managing hybrid teams and delivering commercial success.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to influence at all levels.
- A deep understanding of public sector dynamics and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with CRM systems and a keen eye for data and detail.
