Job Overview

The Head of Recruitment will be responsible for leading and scaling all recruitment operations within the organisation. This includes overseeing internal hiring, client-based staffing services (if applicable), employer branding, candidate experience, and strategic workforce planning. This is a senior leadership role that requires a visionary recruiter who can develop data-driven strategies, build recruitment infrastructure, and drive results in a fast-paced, multi-sector environment.

You will work closely with senior leadership, HR, marketing, and operations teams to ensure talent acquisition aligns with business growth and long-term workforce needs.

Responsibilities

Lead the full-cycle recruitment process across all departments and service lines from requisition to onboarding.

Design and implement a long-term recruitment strategy that supports business expansion and talent retention.

Build and manage a high-performing recruitment team, including internal recruiters, coordinators, and agency partners.

Optimise and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for maximum automation, compliance, and reporting.

Collaborate with hiring managers to identify role requirements, candidate profiles, and interview frameworks.

Develop strong employer branding campaigns through LinkedIn, Indeed, careers pages, and social media platforms.

Establish robust candidate pipelines using sourcing techniques, talent pools, networking events, and partnerships.

Manage high-volume and niche recruitment drives across UK and international markets (if applicable).

Lead the development of job descriptions, hiring guides, and interview scorecards.

Ensure legal compliance, GDPR adherence, and equal opportunity hiring practices.

Analyse recruitment metrics and present insights to the executive team.

Drive continuous improvements in candidate experience, time-to-hire, and recruitment ROI.



Requirements

5+ years of proven experience in recruitment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or strategic role.

Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, interview best practices, and recruitment technology (ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.).

Experience hiring across multiple functions and levels from entry-level to executive.

Expertise in employment law, right-to-work checks, and international hiring processes.

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and scale recruitment teams.

Strong data analysis and reporting skills; familiarity with recruitment dashboards and KPIs.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency with ATS platforms such as Workable, Greenhouse, or Bullhorn.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (CIPD Level 5+ or similar preferred).
