Overview
The Head of Research Delivery & Support for Wider Care Settings is a senior leadership role focused on the strategic oversight, deployment and delivery capabilities of the South East RRDN's Agile Research Delivery Team. You will join a collaborative regional and national team developing, leading and delivering research across the South East.
Responsibilities
- Foster and nurture productive relationships with regional partners including commercial and non-commercial study teams/sponsors, research site delivery personnel, and senior research leadership within Delivery Organisations.
- Lead dedicated teams in the provision of research delivery and support for wider care settings, ensuring seamless coordination with other services/functions within the regional and national network.
- Operate within the South East RRDN hosted by the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust with regional travel from an agreed base and some national travel.
- Work in a job-share arrangement (0.6 WTE) with designated work days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
- Collaborate with NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN) research Delivery Organisations across all settings to ensure effective support by the Agile Research Delivery Team.
- Co-lead the work of the Study Support Service Team with a focus on wider care settings, alongside the Head of Partner Liaison and Planning.
- Oversee the RRDN Study Support Service for wider care settings, integrating with the national Study Support Service and interfacing Agile Research Delivery team.
- Provide system-level responsibility for strategic oversight, deployment and delivery capabilities of the RRDN's Agile Research Delivery Team, informing continuous improvement of research delivery services.
- Establish trust, work collaboratively and inclusively, and translate a complex environment and relationships into clear plans and actions. Contribute to organisational learning through stakeholder liaison and feedback.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in senior leadership roles overseeing research delivery teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally as needed.
