Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Resourcing to join our HR function. Being the largest employer of social workers in England, supported by a varied and multi-sited corporate and business services function, attraction and retention is a significant strategic priority for our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, can-do, collaborative, and innovative senior professional to lead a diverse team across our resourcing function, including recruitment, onboarding, pre payroll and employee record changes. The role is a key member of our HR Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief People Officer. You will play a crucial role leading, further developing and shaping our future approach, being committed to and passionate about ensuring our resourcing policies and practices are inclusive, innovative and improve the experiences for our leaders, colleagues and candidates. With a passionate and continuous improvement mindset, you will evolve and amplify our employer brand and develop our approach to strategic workforce forecasting, whilst having a conscientious eye to ensure that appropriate governance and safeguarding assurances are in place. You will have proven track record in leading a resourcing/recruitment function, operating at a senior level in large or complex organisation, being able to demonstrate a sound commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, further develop and shape the resourcing function (recruitment, onboarding, pre payroll and employee record changes).
  • Develop inclusive resourcing policies and practices that improve experiences for leaders, colleagues and candidates.
  • Evolve and amplify the employer brand and approach to strategic workforce forecasting.
  • Ensure governance and safeguarding assurances are in place.
  • Spearhead continuous improvement within resourcing and contribute as a senior member of the HR Leadership Team.
  • Travel across sites in England as required; flexible office base within the Midlands/central region.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in leading a resourcing/recruitment function in a large or complex organisation at a senior level.
  • Strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
