Head of Retail Sales - Health & Wellness SME
Package: Up to £75k + 20-30% Bonus, EMI Share Scheme, Pension, Medical Cover
Location: London Office with hybrid policy
The TalentPool Company is thrilled to partner with an ambitious, mission-led B-Corp SME in the health & wellness category, experiencing phenomenal growth, to find their next superstar Head of Retail Sales.
They're looking for a strategic and commercially minded Head of Sales to drive presence across grocery, pharmacy and wholesale channels in the UK and abroad. This is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and executing sales strategy, delivering revenue growth, and building high-impact relationships.
Key responsbilities:
- Own and continuously refine the sales strategy to deliver against ambitious retail and wholesale monthly growth targets.
- Build and manage commercial plans across grocery, drugstore, pharmacy, wholesale, and other retail outlets.
- Lead forecasting, sales performance analysis, and full P&L management for all retail and wholesale activity.
- Develop annual budgets and performance metrics; ensure tracking, and target delivery.
- Lead all commercial negotiations and joint business planning with key accounts.
- Collaborate closely with marketing on bespoke trade plans and in-store activations to drive visibility and sell-through.
- Act as the strategic lead for all accounts (national and key), nurturing strong, trust-based relationships with buyers to ensure range extensions, store expansions and NPD opportunities.
- Own trade spend and promotional planning to maximise ROI whilst ensuring financial health.
- Analyse market data, category trends, and performance metrics to inform strategy and unlock growth, sharing this with retailers.
- Work closely with Operations and Finance to align on forecasting, promotional budgets, and profitability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sales or commercial roles within FMCG.
- Proven success managing national and key UK retail accounts, with strong buyer relationships and commercial acumen.
- Analytical, data-driven, and confident in navigating P&Ls, forecasts, and category performance.
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with experience in fast-growth and high-performance environments.
- Exceptional communicator and negotiator; collaborative and solutions-focused.
