Head of S2076 IBP (In Board Process) – Based in Cheadle, Hybrid working 3 days in the office weekly.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of S2076 IBP capability releases into a number of programmes within a PCT envelope.
- Provide strategic direction across all campaigns and bids, aligned to the Sonar 2076 Product Roadmaps to maximise opportunities for growth.
- Establish the S2076 IBP Portfolio vision/strategy.
- Ensure the health, safety and general wellbeing of all team members (directly or matrix managed) is given the highest priority.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external stakeholder relationships; drive alignment within evolving product roadmaps.
What You Need to Know
- You will have a proven track record of delivering successful projects or a portfolio of projects in a complex, multi-site organisation.
- Experience Leading teams directly (up to 5 people) and in matrix (up to 50 people), including discipline and objective development, coaching, etc.
- Managing customer and supplier relationships.
- Leading the process of structuring and planning complex projects and tailoring deployment of best-practice project controls.
- Directing project activities with reference to baseline and critical path, with proactive risk and opportunity management and controlling variance to time/cost/quality.
- Project financial and contractual management.
- Working across functional boundaries to achieve alignment and support for project objectives.
- Demand/business planning in a project context focusing on resource forecasting and scheduling with adjacent functions.
- Representing projects through governance, providing evidence-based progress updates and highlighting risks/opportunities to Senior Management.
- Experience coaching junior Project Managers.
- Experience working in a complex, multi-site organisation.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the work, many roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held; if not, the successful applicant will need to obtain and maintain SC clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years (in some circumstances a minimum of 3 years may be accepted with additional overseas checks).
About You
- You will have a proven track record of delivering successful projects or portfolios in a complex, multi-site organisation, and be able to work across functional boundaries.
- Experience leading teams directly and in matrix structures, including coaching and development.
- Experience in managing customer and supplier relationships.
- Strong ability to structure and plan complex projects and deploy best-practice project controls.
- Proficiency in managing baselines, critical paths, risks, opportunities, and variance control.
- Experience with project financial and contractual management.
- Ability to forecast resource requirements and coordinate with adjacent functions to schedule those resources.
- Experience presenting progress and risks to Senior Management and governance bodies.
- Experience coaching junior Project Managers.
- Experience working in a complex, multi-site organisation.
