About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Commercial Sales to lead a regional sales team within the construction and building materials industry. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and coaching a high-performing team.
You’ll oversee commercial agreements, manage key accounts, and work closely with contractors, distributors, and housebuilders to grow market share and deliver value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Area Sales Managers and a Merchant Sales Executive.
- Drive regional sales performance to meet revenue and profit targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, distributors, and housebuilders.
- Manage pricing strategies and commercial agreements.
- Identify new market opportunities and support product development.
- Track sales activity and pipeline using CRM tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on strategy and execution.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in sales, ideally within construction or building materials.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking.
- Excellent people management and coaching skills.
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- A-Level education or equivalent preferred.
