Head of Stock Condition Surveys

Boden are currently recruiting for a Head of Stock Condition Surveys to join a successful team to oversee and lead condition and fire door survey programmes, ensure delivery to the highest standards, and play a key role in developing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of stock condition surveyors and support staff.

  • Ensure condition surveys, fire door surveys, and associated reporting are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.

  • Oversee quality assurance of survey outputs and provide professional advice and reporting to clients.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing and submitting tenders.

  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

  • Provide cost estimating and budget advice using NHF Schedule of Rates, benchmark data or similar.

  • Support business process development and compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with a relevant degree.

  • Extensive experience in housing stock condition surveys and building surveying.

  • Knowledge of HHSRS Category 1 & 2 (essential) and damp & mould surveying (preferred).

  • Fire Door Assessor qualification desirable.

  • Strong technical grounding with proven ability to act as commission lead from inception to completion.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and asset condition reporting software.

  • Experience in programme and budget management.

  • Excellent analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
