Head of Supply Chain
New Today
Role Overview:
We are looking for an exceptional hands-on operator and supply chain leader who ensures things just work - fast, efficiently, and with clarity. This isn’t a strategy or coordination role. It’s about driving results across inventory movement, replenishment, warehousing, fulfilment, delivery performance, reverse logistics, and freight, while building a scalable operational backbone that can handle complexity and volume without breaking.
We will work closely with the CEO, CCO, CFO and GM of China to elevate the performance of our UK and China operations teams, and partner with Purchasing to ensure our supply chain is robust, responsive and commercially aligned.
This role demands someone who is deeply hands-on, obsessed with execution, and confident operating across time zones and functions. You’ll be in the detail - fixing broken processes, reducing friction, building new relationships and injecting pace and accountability into every part of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support both our UK operations team and a globally distributed support team while partnering closely with China-based freight, purchasing and compliance teams.
- Instil pace, ownership and accountability into all operational workflows and processes.
- Provide structure, clear priorities and support for the team to focus on execution.
- Be in the trenches where needed to unblock, resolve and deliver.
Global Supply Chain Execution
- Own end-to-end operational performance across freight, fulfilment, storage, delivery, and returns.
- Drive on-time delivery, speed, and cost efficiency through improved processes and cross-border collaboration.
- Oversee inventory movement from supplier to 3PL to customer, ensuring accuracy and flow.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks and bottlenecks across the supply chain.
Fulfilment, Warehousing & Delivery
- Work with our 3PL Manager to manage and evolve our growing global 3PL network, spanning the UK, mainland Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
- Ensure we continuously raise the bar on delivery performance, speed, and customer experience across all regions.
- Improve fulfilment SLAs, accuracy, turnaround time and reverse logistics handling.
- Streamline processes such as inbound scheduling, FBA prep, replenishment, and inventory control, ensuring they are scalable and efficient.
Returns, Rework & Value Recovery
- Oversee the reverse logistics and rework strategy, ensuring returned and aged inventory is managed efficiently and with commercial intent.
- Ensure the right processes, structure and accountability are in place across QC, rework, outlet planning and returns flow.
- Partner with the warehouse and operations teams to drive improvements in throughput, recovery rates, and reduction of aged stock.
- Support the team in developing scalable solutions and driving reporting cadence around reworked SKUs, refunds, and recovered value.
Cross-Border Alignment & Collaboration
- Lead global freight operations, ensuring seamless movement of goods from suppliers into regional 3PL networks.
- Partner with the China purchasing and compliance teams to ensure export readiness, documentation accuracy, and container planning.
- Work together with our GM and purchasing team in China to maintain full visibility and control across key supply chain milestones.
- Ensure a consistent communication rhythm between regions, and shared ownership of delivery across borders.
Operational Improvement & Scalability
- Find and fix inefficiencies – whether that’s in how we move product, structure workflows, or communicate across functions.
- Move the business from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-informed execution within our supply chain.
- Improve tools, dashboards, reporting and SOPs where needed to support growth.
- Help ensure our operations can support scale across product, channel and market expansion.
- Leverage technology and automation to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and create scalable processes.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with the CFO on landed cost control, forecasting and freight budget tracking.
- Align with the CCO on supply chain readiness for peak periods, launches and trading plans.
- Work with the People team where relevant to evolve structure, capabilities and support within operations.
Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years in supply chain with significant hands-on operational experience in a fast-paced, product-led businesses.
- Has led and developed high-performing teams - sets the bar, mentors well, and takes full ownership of outcomes.
- Proven operator - has owned fulfilment, warehousing and freight across multiple regions and knows how to drive performance and reduce friction.
- Experienced working across UK and Asia with confidence managing international teams and partners.
- Willing and able to travel as needed to visit UK and international 3PL warehouses, as well as our China office and suppliers.
- Fast, decisive, and calm under pressure - sees around corners and solves problems before they escalate.
- Commercially sharp - balances service, cost, and scalability while spending mindfully.
- Driven by opportunity, takes initiative, and finds ways to get things done.
- Hands-dirty mentality - happy to dive into the weeds, pick up the phone, fix the issue, and move on.
- Builds strong relationships across all levels - trusted by those above, beside, and below.
- Understands the full product lifecycle from factory floor to customer door (and returns beyond).
- Goes above and beyond - leads from the front, holds high standards, and thrives in a business that’s scaling fast.
