Tiro is proud to be partnering with a pioneering global pharmaceutical manufacturer during an exciting phase of growth. Reporting to the Site Director, as the the Head of Engineering & Operations you will lead the technical aspects of the manufacturing operation, focussed on improving process capability, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. This role is also an integral member of the site leadership team and as such participates in providing strategic direction for the site.

This challenging role offers a clear pathway to Site Director in the next few years.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Leadership of a technical team, including 6 Managers, your role is to inspire and motivate your team to achieve company, site, departmental and personal development goals.

Lead the site’s project portfolio and manage the preparation and implementation of a £multi million CapEx budget

Oversee qualification and validation of new GMP-compliant equipment, facilities and utilities

Ensure high-quality maintenance support for production operations - managing equipment and maintenance contract negotiations and renewals.

Your Profile:

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or a science-related discipline
• Extensive experience in a GMP-regulated environment
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (e.g. FDA, ISO, Eudralex)
• Proven leadership in engineering or manufacturing in the pharmaceutical sector, including validation and qualification within the pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated success in managing complex change programmes
