Overview

Geeky Tech is seeking a Head of Technical to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will become the customer-facing Geek of the Technical Team, responsible for implementing: Google Search Console, Analytics & Tag Manager setup with best practices; Website Audit (Technical focus); Page Optimisations; Conversion Tracking (Tag & Measurement plans & implementation); Creation of SEO Reports (Looker Studio) and ongoing monthly reports; Website Migrations (pre & post migration with an Organic traffic focus).

The role involves running quality assurance on the rest of the technical team’s work and supporting other technical SEOs. Some work types involve customer calls to explain the work carried out and next steps; you will run these calls and pass next steps to the team.

Responsibilities

• Google Search Console, Analytics & Tag Manager setup with best practices.
• Technical website audits and page optimisations.
• Conversion tracking, tag and measurement plans, and implementation.
• Creation of SEO reports (Looker Studio) and ongoing monthly reporting.
• Website migrations with a focus on preserving organic traffic.
• Quality assurance on the technical team’s work and guidance to other technical SEOs.
• Conduct customer calls to explain work and next steps, then coordinate with the team.

Reporting & Team Structure

You’ll work directly with the Head of Service Delivery. The team has weekly setup and week-in-review calls to discuss progress. You’ll provide 1-on-1 support to the team each week and collaborate to learn new systems and solve problems. In the longer term, improving existing services or creating new areas will be part of the remit.

Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, you will work with a dedicated team of SEO professionals.
