Overview
Head of Technology - Control Performance & Governance at Flutter UK & Ireland. Leadership role within Flutter’s UKI Technology organisation, reporting to the regional UKI Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Responsible for building and leading monitoring and governance functions with a focus on technology and cybersecurity controls essential to the protection and integrity of financial systems and data for a SOX-regulated, NYSE-listed business.
What You’ll Do
Governance Responsibilities:
- Ensure Flutter UKI technology is set up to meet SOX mandates as defined by the Flutter Board and Executive Committee.
- Drive and aim for no material control weaknesses and minimal, short-lived non-material weaknesses.
- Maintain an appropriate SOX system and application scope that is sustainably managed.
- Develop the culture of the control owner across all of technology.
- Provide oversight of capabilities and programs to reduce existing and new SOX-related control weaknesses identified by 1st or 2nd line, internal assurance and 3rd line external audit functions.
- Create and deliver high-quality written Flutter Board and Executive Committee updates.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture at a strategic level to optimise for SOX and other control needs.
Control Performance Responsibilities:
- Own the 1st line, independent technology and cyber control monitoring and assessment capability, using best-of-breed methods and tooling.
- Produce regular, reliable, and clear management reporting on control effectiveness.
- Influence the access governance area to ensure people have access only to what they need.
- Work closely with 2nd and 3rd line governance and assurance capabilities across Flutter UKI.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with the wider UKI Information Security LT to cover best practices in cyber and technology risk.
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence in a sustainable way to improve operational efficiency across the role.
- Own and manage operational and transformation budgets.
- Build a culture of engagement for the Security Services team across brands, where Infosec are seen as pragmatic enablers, not blockers.
- Engage with colleagues inside and outside Technology to deliver cross-functional initiatives and manage dependencies.
How You’ll Do It:
- Experienced senior people leader in Governance, Risk and Compliance with a focus on cyber security.
- Demonstrated experience of SOX as a control framework and how controls should be positioned to work with SOX.
- Proven track record of achieving SOX compliance through effective control implementation.
- Strong people leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of control monitoring tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of SailPoint IdentityNow platform and its use.
- Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
