Head of Technology Strategy & Architecture
As Head of Technology Strategy and Architecture, you will be at the helm of defining and driving Softcat's technology vision, strategy and roadmap development aligned with our overall ambitious business strategy. Strategy and Architecture is a newly established team uniting architects from existing teams with responsibility for maturing Softcat's technology strategy and architecture capabilities. This role reports directly to the CIO and is a key part of the senior technology leadership team, contributing to overall strategic decision-making and leadership of the internal technology function.
Responsibilities
- Technology Vision Definition: Develop our strategic technology vision that aligns with Softcat's overall vision.
- Strategic Roadmap Development: Lead development of Softcat's internal technology strategy aligned with strategic goals.
- Business Technologies: Leverage a Level 1 and Level 2 reference business capability model and assess maturity against defined value streams.
- Application & Technology Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of Softcat's application and technology portfolio to ensure it supports business objectives and delivers value.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior proactive, enterprise-focused technology leadership role, preferably in a technology value-added reseller or related industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and visionary skills with the ability to co-develop and drive Softcat's technology vision, strategy and roadmap and translate into actionable plans.
- Proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders to gain support for an enterprise-level technology vision, strategy & roadmap.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
