Main duties of the job

What You'll Do

  • Lead the transformation of workforce data into meaningful insights.
  • Spearhead the Trust-wide rollout of e-Rostering and related systems.
  • Build strategic workforce plans to support future needs.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to enable data-driven decision making.
  • Ensure systems and data platforms run efficiently and reliably.

Location: New Mill / Agile Working

Hours: 37.5 per week

Job description & requirements

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree and postgraduate level or substantial equivalent experience.
  • Leadership or management qualification or significant experience in leading teams.
  • Commitment to training and continuous professional development.
  • Willingness to participate in relevant development activities.

Desirable

  • CIPD full membership.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of NHS workforce systems and reporting.
  • Senior functional leadership in a complex public sector organisation.
  • Experience of change management and project management.
  • Budget and financial management experience.

Desirable

  • Experience leading NHS functions at a senior level.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse diverse datasets, including personal data.
  • Excellent knowledge of people-level data and its limitations.
  • Knowledge of performance metrics and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of people and corporate information flows within organisations.
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate systems (ESR, Oracle, O365) and systems management (including Rostering tools), and how they connect.
