Then look no further...Health & Safety AdvisorSalary - £36,678 - £43,151 per annum (plus benefits)Hours - Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekLocation - Home Based with travel, South West (To be arranged with the H&S Manager)As a Health & Safety Advisor at FCC Environment, you will support and guide operational teams in all aspects of health, safety and welfare to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. You will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture across the business.This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.Our promise to you:- Competitive salary- 25 days' annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- Life insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On-the-job training and progression- Recognition scheme- Refer a friend scheme- Flexible benefits including high street savings, cycle to work scheme, Gymflex membership, and more (where applicable)- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing PlatformWhat will you be doing?- Advising managers and supervisors on health, safety and welfare to ensure legal compliance- Conducting health & safety inspections, audits and accident investigations- Supporting the development of Health & Safety Plans and initiatives to reduce risk and incidents- Coaching and training staff in best practices- Keeping up to date with legislation and ensuring implementation across the business- Acting as the main point of contact for Health and Safety guidance across sites and teams- Liaising with regulatory authorities such as HSE, Fire Service and the Police- Stopping or prohibiting unsafe work where necessaryWhat are we looking for?- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)- Member of IOSH- Solid knowledge of Health and Safety legislation- Previous experience in a similar role is essential- Experience in Waste Disposal, Recycling, Collections or Quarries industries is advantageous- Excellent communication and influencing skills- Strong personal initiative and a passion for improving safety culture- Full UK driving licenceAbout usWe are FCC Environment, one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies.
