Health and Safety Business Partner

Based in the Midlands/Central, with hybrid working, you’ll have the flexibility of working from home while having a base at one of our national offices, e.g., Birmingham or Peterborough.

Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hpw)

Salary circa: £50,000 pa depending on experience. A car allowance will be included, along with benefits such as a health cash plan and Wagestream.

We are passionate about developing and implementing the Health and Safety strategy, plans, and policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Typical day as a Health and Safety Business Partner

• Work with stakeholders within your Midlands/Central region.


• Support operational management, including developing training programs.


• Conduct health and safety checks, audits, inspections, and generate monthly performance reports.


• Support and advise on the contractor procurement process and maintain relationships with the supply chain.


• Collaborate with other team members within the Health and Safety team.

You have

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, Grad IOSH, actively working towards CMIOSH, maintaining CPD as per IOSH standards.


• Experience in Maintenance/Construction H&S Management or similar roles.


• Experience in risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and supporting construction-related health and safety.


• Ability to analyze incidents and complete investigation reports.


• Experience in writing and reviewing health and safety policies and procedures.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Full UK driving license for business use and commuting.

• Monday to Friday working week.


• Responsibility for health and safety across your region, with occasional travel nationwide.


• Flexibility to work from home or local offices, with provided technology and equipment.


• Spend approx. 2-3 days per week on the road, working from offices and home the rest of the time.
