Job Description

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum negotiable plus car/allowance and package

Location: Site Based (London, Stansted, Birmingham) with Hybrid working

Company / Role Information: A leading civil engineering and infrastructure company is recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Manager for projects within their Aviation team, including Heathrow, Stansted, and Birmingham. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered.

The Health & Safety Manager will report to the Head of HSQE and will be responsible for developing a positive health & safety culture focused on accident prevention and improving safety on-site.

Person Specification

• Proven experience in airport/aviation projects
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• CSCS card holder
• Experience as an internal health & safety auditor
• Lead Auditor status is a plus
• Knowledge of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and registration processes
• Understanding of current health & safety legislation
• Strong presentation, written, analytical, and IT skills
• Training and presentation experience at all organizational levels
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Confidence in building internal and external relationships

Role Responsibilities

• Providing support and guidance to manage health & safety in line with policies and standards
• Representing the client regarding H&S interface requirements
• Ensuring proper reporting and investigation of incidents
• Managing Health & Safety advisors
