Overview

At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls. Those in other assurance services at PwC will focus on providing assurance services to organisations in respect of other laws and regulations (excluding statutory financial statement audits). Working in this area, you will have knowledge of particular industry or local/international non-audit assurance requirements/practices.

A team within Capital Markets has been built over the past 2 years to deliver our work on HFI, recognising the accounting and auditing expertise required to deliver these opinions to a high quality and the need to have a designated team to deploy at short notice in a deals environment. We are therefore looking for people to join our team who have recent knowledge of PwC audit methodology and a strong IFRS accounting background.

PwC is the market leader in providing assurance on these transactions. We provide services that our clients and their other advisers depend on. It\'s both a responsibility and a privilege to guide our clients through moments that matter deeply to them. Our breadth of clients in an ever-changing market means we need to be agile - responding when we need to, in a way that really makes a difference. We are looking for people with the interpersonal skills needed to develop trusted relationships with clients and work alongside them to help solve their issues. We apply the professionally skeptical mindset you will have learnt as an auditor in a deals context.

Our Capital Markets team works on some of the highest profile deals in the market. We pride ourselves on our inclusive culture and the importance we place on wellbeing and development. Consultation is a core part of our culture and our partners and directors work closely with more junior team members to share knowledge and experiences. There is a blend of working from the PwC office, client site, other auditor offices and home. We are a supportive and collaborative team, and empower and trust our people to work independently but with coaching and guidance as needed.

We support an inclusive culture by acknowledging the unique experiences and perspectives each individual brings to the table, with our team representing a number of different backgrounds and cultures. Many of our team are working parents.
