Verbo (www.verboapp.co.uk) is an award winning online Speech and Language Therapy (and Occupational Therapy) Toolkit. The toolkit provides universal and targeted preventative care for ages 2 through to early adulthood. Our mission is to enhance the communication skills of all children and young people.
This Post Is a Remote, Working From Home Post. If You Are Local To Hackney You Are Welcome To Use Community Office Spaces Available. Within This Post There Will Be Requirements For Travel:
- Atleast three times a year to a team meeting in London
- Conferences/exhibitions around the UK (these may include overnight stays)
- Management IT equipment
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of Verbo. This will include:
- Working jointly with the Verbo's marketing and communication officer and commercial lead to promote and share Verbo
- Work jointly with the commercial lead and clinical lead SaLT on business development opportunities
- Liaise with commissioners and support manage contracts/relationships
- Contribute to the development of clinical content
- Contributing to ideas and development
- Leading on specific Verbo development projects
- Working with a multi-professional team, including other SaLTs, a technical team, marketing advisors, videographers, web designers and many more
- Leading on grant applications
- Leading on provide support and training to users
- Attending conferences and networking events
- Speaking at events

- Successful completion of specialist courses relevant to the specialism
- Clinical supervisors course for staff and students
- HCPC , SaLT qualification
- Working knowledge of Verbo
- Relevant Master's degree
- First line management course
Skills / abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills - including observation, listening tact, persuasion and empathy skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, parents and colleagues
- Able to recognise and seek advice appropriately.
- Demonstrates good analytical and reflection skills
- Ability to carry out project work associated with developing and evaluating Verbo.
- Ability to lead a small team
