URGENTLY NEEDED

TeacherActive are one of the biggest SEND recruitment agencies and are currently seeking a Home Tutor to support the learning and development of children and young people with special needs. They are partnering with Local Authorities to provide a high standard of education for students aged 6 to 18 with MLD, ASD, and ADHD needs.

They are seeking a positive, enthusiastic Home Tutor to start immediately with a focus on core subjects Math, English, and Science/primary curriculum. Hours are flexible, part time or full time. You will work with students with MLD, ASD, and ADHD needs, in their home or public settings, and support them 1:1 or in small groups. You will work with students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 and help them meet their goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group tutoring to students with MLD, ASD, and ADHD.
• Support learning across core subjects (Maths, English, Science) and the primary curriculum.
• Adapt tutoring approaches to meet the needs of students from KS1 to KS5 and help them achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• QTS or ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Experience working with MLD, ASD, and ADHD.
• Calm, patient, and caring personality.
• Good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines.
• Experience supporting students in 1:1 and small group settings.
