Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer

Up to £55 per hour umbrella

London Borough

3 month period initially, likely to be extended

Full Time, 1 day office attendance per week

Are you a established Housing Litigation Lawyer looking to make a real difference? Venn Group is working with an exceptional legal team in a London Borough in their pursuit of a Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3 month period.

Requirements

• A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor or Barrister
• Specialism within Housing Law and related legislation
• Evidence of practising Housing Law post-qualification
• Experience working within local authorities or for a relevant public sector organisation
• An adaptable approach to work, being able to react to a constantly changing environment

Duties/Responsibilities

• Providing legal advice in housing cases primarily in the area of complex possession cases
• Working in cases surrounding legal areas such as anti-social Behaviour Injunctions; and Housing Judicial Review.
• Working a complex and full caseload
• Be willing to advocate in a county court as appropriate
• Mentoring and training less experienced team members
• Working resourcefully under tight deadlines
