Responsibilities

  • Confidently working with a variety of stakeholders – respond professionally and accurately to general HR queries from staff, managers and external customers via the HR general email inbox while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Accurately preparing letters, contracts and correspondence for new starters, leavers and existing employees regarding changes to terms and conditions, and updating and maintaining the HR database to ensure accurate employee records.
  • Utilizing Microsoft365 to support the HR Business Partnering team by compiling compliance and people metrics data and reports on a periodic basis.
  • Applying excellent organisational and time‑management skills to collaborate with the wider HR team, completing tasks accurately and on time.
  • Working as part of a fantastic HR team, contributing to common goals that support the children and young people we care for.

Contract and Working Hours

This is a permanent contract working 22.5 hours per week. Hours can be worked flexibly across the week but must include some time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The role is hybrid, with time spent between home and the central support office in Cosham, Hampshire.

Visa and Employment Status

Fair Ways is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. All applicants must be able to provide evidence of right to work in the UK.

Disclosure

Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS). The disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience with software systems, Microsoft365 Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience in an HR Assistant or Coordinator role (preferred, but other relevant experience is considered).
