About the Job:
This is a stand-alone HR Business Partner role covering a 12-month maternity leave, with the potential to become permanent. A key focus of the role is delivering expert guidance and support across all areas of employee relations. You’ll work closely with management to ensure best practice is applied and challenges are handled with fairness and consistency, while also supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee engagement across a multi-site operation. Duties will include:
- Leading on a wide range of ER matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance concerns
- Coaching and guiding managers on HR policy and employment law to build confidence and consistency
- Supporting acquisition activity and ensuring full compliance with TUPE legislation
- Keeping employee records, contracts, and policies fully up to date
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth candidate experience
- Overseeing training delivery and coordinating appraisals and succession planning initiatives
- Championing employee engagement through recognition programmes, benefits, and internal communication channels
- Providing regular updates and insights to leadership on recruitment trends and people metrics
About the Successful Applicant:
You’ll bring solid HR experience within a multi-site environment and have a confident grasp of UK employment law. A strong background in employee relations is essential, with the ability to advise and influence at all levels. You’ll be organised, approachable, and collaborative, with some TUPE knowledge.
