Hitachi Rail's Global Business Unit is looking to add an HR Business Partner to its Central Functions. This role can be based in London. As a global strategic business partner, you will ensure the identification, analysis and translation of business needs and requirements into the HR function (and vice versa). You will be part of the leadership teams of the central HR functions and ensure alignment of key business and talent priorities and needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's culture, vision, mission and strategic objectives
- Lead the identification, analysis and translation of business needs and requirements for the HR function (and vice versa)
- Support annual budget planning cycle based on qualitative and quantitative workforce planning analysis
- Develop and implement a talent agenda for the relevant function, including talent identification, talent development for key talent, succession planning and functional skill development
- As a member of the relevant functional leadership teams, ensure the alignment of key business and talent priorities and support building high-performance teams
- Monitor and use key performance indicators (KPIs), analysing outcomes to foster a high performance environment, supporting the identification of strategic initiatives and development of future strategies (leveraging the global HR KPI framework)
- Be responsible for execution of core HR processes (e.g. global performance management, talent review, salary planning) within the relevant function
- Collaborate closely with the business and regional HR team, as well as the HR Centres of Excellence to develop and implement holistic HR solutions
- Utilise HR metrics and analytics to monitor the organisation and employee performance, providing data-driven insights to drive HR and function decision-making
- Provide support on change initiatives to help the function navigate transitions smoothly and effectively
Technical Skills
- Progressive HR experience in a senior leadership role, covering all facets of HR management with proven track records
- Excellent consulting and communication skills in exchange with managers, employees, works councils and other internal and external stakeholders
- Experience supporting global, highly matrixed organisations
- Significant experience in the implementation of change management strategies and organizational development
- Strong expertise in the use of HR analysis tools to support strategic decisions
Human Skills
- Highly collaborative
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders
- Global and business-oriented mindset and high intercultural sensitivity
- Business fluent in English
