We are looking for a skilled and strategic HR Business Partner to join our People & Safety team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with leaders across the business, shaping culture, driving people initiatives, and helping our teams achieve their full potential.

Overview

Location: Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. Travel to store teams across the area as a visible and approachable People partner, providing hands‑on support to stores and teams.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Partner with managers and leaders to deliver people plans aligned to business goals.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, employment law, and people policies.
  • Manage ER cases and support change processes such as TUPE, restructures, and redundancies.
  • Coach and develop line managers, building leadership capability across the business.
  • Lead succession planning and talent development initiatives to grow internal career pathways.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, embedding inclusive practices into everyday operations.
  • Deliver training to line managers on people policies, performance management, and leadership.
  • Lead on exciting people projects, helping to shape the overall people strategy.
  • Travel to store teams across the area, acting as a visible and approachable People partner, providing hands‑on support to stores and teams.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a People Business Partner, HR Business Partner, or similar strategic role.
  • Strong expertise in employment law, employee relations, and policy development.
  • Skilled at coaching leaders and embedding performance management culture.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
  • Experience leading change projects and supporting organisational transformation.
  • A passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a track record of delivering initiatives.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to store teams across the area.
