About The Role

As an HR Business Partner at Quilter you will play a strategic and consultive role, partnering with senior leaders to align and deliver the people strategy with business objectives. This dynamic and influential position blends strategic insight with hands‑on partnership to drive meaningful change and support colleagues in achieving their full potential.

You'll work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into people‑focused solutions. Whether it’s workforce planning, talent development, organisational design or change management, you’ll be at the heart of decision‑making, offering expert guidance and challenge where needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic People Partnering: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, providing expert guidance on talent, performance, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Culture & Engagement: Champion a culture of excellence, integrity and inclusion, ensuring alignment with our values and client promise.
  • Talent & Succession Planning: Identify and develop key talent pipelines, with a focus on leadership capability and retention of critical roles.
  • Performance Enablement: Drive a high‑performance culture through coaching, feedback and structured review processes.
  • Reward & Recognition: Support year‑end compensation planning, ensuring alignment with performance and market benchmarks.
  • Organisational Effectiveness: Lead people aspects of change programmes, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new ways of working; drive organisational design, change management and optimisation initiatives.
  • Data‑Driven Insight: Use people analytics to inform decisions, track progress and identify opportunities for improvement; leverage Workday capability for regular reporting and insights to business leaders.
  • Inclusion & Wellbeing: Partner with our I&D team to embed inclusive practices and promote wellbeing across high‑pressure environments.
  • Reward & Performance: Support compensation planning and advise on reward strategies aligned with compliance and market benchmarks.
  • Governance & Risk: Ensure HR practices meet regulatory standards and contribute to internal governance forums.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Collaborate across HR, Finance, Compliance and Transformation to deliver joined‑up solutions.

About You

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist ideally in financial services or a regulated environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels; evidence of strong stakeholder management is essential.
  • Sound understanding of employment law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Analytical mindset with confidence in interpreting HR data and metrics.
  • High levels of discretion and ethical judgement, particularly in sensitive or complex scenarios.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast‑paced, evolving business.
  • Experience supporting change initiatives and organisational transformation.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent qualification) preferred.
