Overview

Real Life Options are seeking a HR Business Partner to work with leadership and management teams in the Scotland area. The role is strategic and hands-on, focused on aligning HR strategies with organisational goals and supporting complex case work, training and development, and performance improvements to foster a positive workplace culture. This is a full-time, permanent position with hybrid working (3 days in the office).

Responsibilities

  • Work with managers and leaders to inform the HR strategy for each area of the organisation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key HR challenges.
  • Use evidence and data to identify HR priorities and address future workforce needs.
  • Provide expert HR guidance for acquisitions, restructures and service closures.
  • Develop solutions with HR expertise to help areas deliver their strategy.
  • Partner with managers to create Workforce Development Plans using data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Work with senior managers to identify and nurture future leaders.
  • Plan and support the delivery of change programmes.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
  • Advise on complex employee relations cases and long-term absence.
  • Act as point of escalation for HR Advisors and senior managers on complex or high-risk HR issues.

Qualifications and Skills

  • CIPD Level 7 preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as HR Business Partner or similar role, ideally within the charity or social care sector.
  • Experience in employee relations, including case management and investigations.
  • Background in delivering HR projects and organisational development initiatives.
  • Design and delivery of training and development activities.

Job Location and Details

Location: Glasgow, Scotland area. Employment type: Full-time, Permanent. Hours: 40 hours per week (hybrid with 3 in-office days). Salary: £42k–£46k per annum depending on experience.
