Role: Interim HR Business Partner (FTC 12 months starting Jan 2026)

Location: Hybrid Working – Full time 5 day week, min 1 day in the office (London)
Salary: £50,000–£60,000, dependent on experience

About the Role

As the business continues to grow, we need a dedicated HR Business Partner to support people managers and deliver initiatives that create a great employee experience and drive business performance over the next 12 months. The role blends policy and process management with coaching to achieve effective people outcomes.

Key Focus Areas

  • Partner with line managers and people teams to provide guidance, coaching and support on HR subjects: employee engagement, policy, employee relations, performance management, employment law, learning and career development.
  • Lead HR improvement and change projects that help people perform at their best.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with client groups to support change initiatives such as recruitment, redeployment, talent mapping, career development and succession planning.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships, engagement, and productivity with leaders and teams.
  • Co‑coach leaders on performance management to align with business needs.
  • Lead employee relations casework, including grievances, disciplinaries, sickness/absence cases, and escalating as required.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate staffing needs and support onboarding.
  • Support people change projects that promote Corndel’s culture, vision, and values.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • Participate in HR team projects and provide administrative support as required.
  • Ensure timely payroll processing for employment contracts and changes.
  • Work with the People Engagement and Inclusion Partner to support engagement strategy and data‑driven people practices.

Qualifications

  • Proactive HR Business Partner or HR Generalist experience.
  • Understanding of commercial operations and people’s role as a commercial enabler.
  • CIPD accreditation advantageous; strong employment law knowledge.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
  • Excellent planning, organising, influencing and communication skills.
  • Experience delivering change or HR projects with strong project management skills.
  • Problem‑solving ability and root‑cause analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SharePoint.
  • High attention to detail, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Team player who can also work independently.
