Job Description

A HR Casework and Change Consultant at Lambeth Council is responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on a range of HR issues including employee relations and change management. The role supports managers, develops working relationships and ensures compliance with HR policies and procedures.

About the Team

You will work closely with a dedicated HR Policy & Employment Relations team, reporting to the Casework & Change Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice to managers and senior leaders on complex HR matters.
  • Manage a portfolio of employee relation cases, including disciplinary, grievance and performance management.
  • Support and lead change initiatives, applying best practice in change management.
  • Co‑ordinate coaching and support for line managers to handle employee relations cases effectively.
  • Identify and monitor key trends in ER casework to improve policies and practices.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including colleagues within HR and Trade Union representatives.
