We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Coordinator to join our HR team on an initial six-month fixed term contract, with the potential for this to become a permanent position.
Acting as the HR Coordinator to the Central Currency business areas, you will play a key role in supporting the HR function across a range of activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle administration and HR systems management. You will also be the first point of contact for HR queries, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce offer letters and contracts, carry out pre-employment checks including security clearance, liaison with IT, shipping, security, facilities with regards to the induction process, carry out the HR induction, 6 week check ins and all other adhoc new joiner requirements
- To prepare all letters or contracts for any changes to employee terms & conditions of employment e.g. flexible working
- To administer the leaver processes and undertake exit interviews
- To prepare, as required, management reports on employee-related data such as absence and turnover
- To process all maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave and parental leave requests and ensure that associated payroll processes are completed
- To provide administrative support for the recruitment process including assisting with the preparation of job descriptions, formulating internal and external adverts, liaising with recruitment agencies whilst ensuring that the information on recruitment + is up to date and that vacancies are closed off etc.
- Acting as HR Coordinator to the Central Currency business areas, providing support to the wider HR team to help in delivering the commercially led HR decisions to enable the business to proactively deliver.
- Support people managers with queries around absence management and the implementation and application of HR policies etc and escalate to the Head of HR/HR BP’s where necessary
- Liaising with managers to ascertain the best recruitment methods, and liaising with agencies where applicable to provide a brief on vacant roles and assist with interview scheduling
- Provide support with the interview process, including the drafting of questions and preparations of any interview assessment and being involved in interviews where required
Working hours: Full Time – 36.5 hrs per week (9am – 5:15pm Mon, 9am – 5pm Tues – Fri)
Base location: Basingstoke Viables
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Good attainment of GCSE or equivalent including English and Maths
- Educated to A level or equivalent preferred
- CIPD qualified (level 3) or working towards would be preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level and be assertive, yet professional in dealing with requests
- Experience in dealing with aspects of HR Administration and Coordination processes in relation to absence management, recruitment and selection and employee relations
