Department: Human Resources, Home Palace: Hampton Court Palace, Status: Established/Permanent, Salary: Rate Per Annum, Days/Hours of work: Full time, 36 hours per week.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join Historic Royal Palaces in the newly-created role of HR Operations Manager as we look to design and implement new ways of working within our team and across the charity.

Our HR Operations Manager will lead and develop our team of HR Assistants and a HR Administrator in delivering an excellent HR operational service to our internal customers.

We are looking for someone who really enjoys leading and developing high performing teams, but who can also bring the curiosity and desire to help us unpick and redesign a number of our core HR processes. You’ll need to be highly organised and able to apply a solutions-focused approach to identifying process improvements to support the team with payroll administration, recruitment coordination, staff onboarding/offboarding, and general operational HR enquiries.

Responsibilities and Requirements

You’ll also need to bring evidence of your experience in designing and delivering improved ways of working that will benefit both the HR team as well as our colleagues across our 6 sites. To bring success to this role you’ll call on your knowledge of HR information systems and their inputs and outputs. That knowledge will be crucial in delivering an effective review of data to inform the development new service levels and KPIs.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll work closely with colleagues right across the HR team to simplify, standardise and document processes and tasks. Ongoing management and oversight of those processes, their outputs, and the team that deliver them will then form the main focus of the role.
