Salary: £51,620 - £65,907 + Company Car / Allowance
12 Month Fixed Term Contract

As an HSSE Governance Lead at E.ON Next, you will support safe working practices and HSSE regulatory compliance for our domestic energy efficiency solutions. Your focus will span across field and office environments, with an emphasis on contractor assurance.

You will maintain the HSSE management system, oversee end-to-end business adherence, and ensure traceability of all activities within the business and contracted parties. Additionally, you will implement and communicate strategies effectively to employees and contractor partners. Your expertise will help you understand the business structure and activities within the Obligation Delivery (OD) area, providing guidance on HSSE matters.

Here’s what else you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the HSSE management system in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
  • Lead contractor site monitoring programs, managing internal and external resources.
  • Lead a team of ECO HSSE Advisors conducting monitoring and engagement of contractor partners.
  • Perform audits and reviews of documentation to ensure legal and system compliance.
  • Own and manage OD’s HSSE legal register.
  • Establish relationships with internal stakeholders to stay informed of business changes and ensure HSSE considerations in implementation.
  • Manage incident investigation and risk management platforms, maintaining accurate records and analysis.
  • Align HSSE risk management with commercial risk strategies.
  • Support contractor selection and tendering processes for third-party work.
  • Lead internal and external audits.

What we need from you:

  • Deep understanding of current SHE legislation and standards.
  • Experience managing external accreditations like ISO 45001.
  • Knowledge of policies affecting HSSE, including gas, electrical, and insulation safety standards.
  • Experience in training, presentation, coaching, and facilitation.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions and challenge existing practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate situations and data.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, capable of simplifying complex issues.
