Overview

Erskine is a high impact social care organisation seeking a suitable candidate for the post of Human Resource and Organisational Development Business Partner (HR/OD BP). As Erskine evolves to meet the unmet needs of Veterans in Scotland, the HR function is expanding and requires an experienced, dynamic and motivated HR/OD Business Partner to help drive organisational change.

The Role

Reporting to the Human Resources and Organisational Development Manager, the key responsibilities include:

  • Organisational Change – Partner with senior and operational managers to ensure they have tools, advice and support to develop resilient, highly engaged teams.
  • Workforce Planning – Support and guide key business areas with workforce planning to meet service needs, including restructures, recruitment and onboarding.
  • Workplace Wellbeing – Collaborate across Erskine to create conditions enabling staff to perform to the best of their ability.
  • Learning and Development – Create opportunities and approaches for the workforce to learn and grow professionally and personally.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Hold a Professional HR Qualification at Level 5 and/or equivalent senior HR experience with a commitment to CPD and attainment of Level 7.
  • Experience of case management (absence management and employee relations), policy development, hands-on recruitment and selection, creative talent attraction solutions, and proficient use of HR information systems and reporting tools.
  • Full understanding of employment law principles and experience of supporting ER cases.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to show initiative, flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality.
  • IT literacy and proficiency with software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and social media platforms.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience in the health and social care sector is advantageous but not essential.
