Who is the business?

This business is an established, ambitious business who are a market leader in their highly service‑driven sector. They are continuing to grow and evolve the business, and are committed to placing people at the core of their business.

What is the role?

A broad and incredibly generalist HRBP position reporting into the Senior HRBP. You will be joining an HR team undergoing significant transformation, working towards becoming a true, value‑add and strategic partner to the business. There is lots of work to do in terms of creating brilliant basics and establishing strong foundations to build from.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Senior HRBP to create processes and ways of working that serve the business in an effective and pragmatic way.
  • Working with line managers to coach and guide them through their people‑management responsibilities.
  • Supporting and championing proactive people activities, from recruitment through to development, performance and recognition programmes.
  • Using technology and insights to form data‑driven decisions based on trends.
  • Supporting the ongoing change and transformation agenda by making recommendations and working closely with the business to understand what they need from HR.

Qualifications

A strong generalist who is perhaps operating at Senior HR Advisor level or Junior BP, who has experience in a busy, operational environment such as logistics, manufacturing, retail, etc. Solid employment law knowledge is critical, as is experience and knowledge across the full employee lifecycle.

While this is a permanent role, we are particularly keen to see candidates who are immediately available or on a short‑notice period and can also consider temp/contract to perm. Longer notice periods will also be considered.

What’s on offer?

A salary of up to £45,000 plus a competitive benefits package. The business operates a hybrid working model (3 office days and 2 home/remote). Expect quarterly travel to the site in the North East.
