Recognized as one of Forbes’ World’s Best Employers and named one of The World’s Most Admired Companies 2024 by Fortune, Labcorp is seeking to hire a Trained Phlebotomist to lead our UK-wide Human Volunteer Programme at our Harrogate site.
This role involves overseeing our staff Human Volunteer Programme and Phlebotomy Service (Blood Draws Programme) across UK and Germany, providing samples from staff to all Labcorp UK sites and the German site on demand.
The ideal candidate will have previous Phlebotomy experience, be capable of managing training, supply, and coordination of internal and external phlebotomists across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with global research, data protection laws, and ethics approvals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the supply of staff-sourced blood and other biological samples to support lab services.
- Administer and oversee the Human Volunteer Programme at multiple sites, managing donor databases, resource allocation, and donor payments.
- Sourcing, collecting, and managing biological samples including blood, urine, and others.
- Coordinate with various departments to resolve issues related to the Human Blood Service (HBS).
- Train and supervise phlebotomists and support staff, perform venipuncture, and ensure donor safety and comfort.
- Conduct informed consent procedures and educate donors about donation processes.
- Maintain accurate records, ensure confidentiality, and manage donor recruitment and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards, including site inspections and staff training.
- Support the ethical management of human tissue donations in accordance with UK regulations.

Qualifications:
- Certified in Phlebotomy from an accredited agency; experience may substitute for formal education.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a phlebotomist with knowledge of procedures and responsibilities.
- Experience in obtaining informed consent for research.
- Leadership skills to mentor staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills.
