The role

Assist with sponsor licence applications, advise employers, universities and independent schools on licensed sponsor duties, support clients with visa and leave to remain applications across all immigration categories. Focus on education and technology sectors, and on private immigration for high net worth individuals (Innovator, Global Talent, Appendix FM, citizenship). Advise on immigration strategies and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review sponsor licence applications.
  • Provide legal advice to employers, universities and schools on sponsor duties.
  • Support visa and leave to remain applications for business and private clients.
  • Develop immigration strategies and policies for clients.
  • Supervise junior fee earners.
  • Contribute to business development: articles, webinars, networking events.

Requirements

  • Associate or Senior Associate level experience in immigration law.
  • Strong expertise in business immigration, especially education and technology sectors.
  • Experience advising high net worth individuals on advanced immigration categories.
  • Ability to supervise less experienced fee earners.
  • Experience with business development activities.

Location

Hybrid model. Ideally based in the Birmingham office at least 3 days per week. Remote days are acceptable.
