Location: Croydon (Hybrid – 1 day in office per week)

Overview
Join us as an Income Officer at ccha, a caring, forward‑thinking team that makes a difference in the lives of our residents.
What we are looking for
- An experienced individual with excellent customer care skills to provide successful outcomes, including increasing resident satisfaction and sustaining tenancies.
- Managing rent accounts, maximising rental income and serving as the first point of contact for residents regarding all types of income queries.
- Ensuring that all cases follow our approved escalation process within procedures and policies for rent arrears, including making and monitoring repayment agreements with residents.
- Demonstrating brilliant customer care, minimising residents’ financial hardship, and offering the right advice to motivate repayment.
- Taking enforcement action where legal and non‑legal remedies are appropriate, including representing the organisation in court hearings and evictions following correct protocols.
- Contributing to the development and overall performance of the Income Team and its operation to ensure cost‑effective delivery of high‑quality services.
- Basic DBS check.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience with court protocol, dealing with vulnerable residents, and understanding of Universal Credit.
What you’ll bring to ccha
- Good understanding of social housing issues and dealing with vulnerable residents.
- Capability to support residents facing financial, social, or health difficulties by signposting them to relevant services.
- Demonstrable knowledge of best practice in income management and debt collection.
- Computer literacy, including spreadsheets and various software packages.
- Initiative in dealing with the diversity of our residents.
- Working knowledge of legislation, court protocol, and Universal Credit.
- Ability to manage a varied and busy workload to meet targets and deadlines.
- High numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience building effective relationships with internal and external partners.
