2571 – Information Security Advisor (Risk & Compliance) – Aberdeen (Hybrid)

Ready to make an impact from day one? We’re looking for a proactive and capable Information Security Advisor (Risk & Compliance) to join our team in Aberdeen. This mid-level role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and can confidently support both operational and project-based security activities. You’ll be part of a collaborative team working to strengthen cyber resilience, manage risks, and ensure compliance — all while learning and growing on the job.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver day-to-day cyber assurance activities across operations and projects
• Define and support implementation of security requirements for systems and solutions
• Conduct cyber risk assessments, including third-party suppliers
• Apply threat modelling to identify risks and recommend mitigations
• Support and improve incident management processes
• Help ensure regulatory and statutory compliance
• Collaborate across teams and with external partners to drive security best practices

What You’ll Bring

• Solid cybersecurity experience in a mid-level role
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CySA+, Security+) and risk management knowledge
• Broad understanding of security tools and frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• A flexible, all-rounder mindset with a willingness to learn on the job
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running

This is not a SOC role. We’re looking for someone with a broader skill set who can adapt quickly and contribute across multiple areas of cybersecurity.
