Overview

A dynamic and prestigious professional services company is seeking a talented IT Operations Analyst to join their team in this newly created role. This multifaceted position offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to work with colleagues and third parties to support the optimal delivery of the IT infrastructure. The IT Operations Analyst will ensure that the infrastructure supports business operations securely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to deal with 3rd tier escalation requests, a pro-active mindset to identify areas for improvement / automation and the ability to operate in a broad role which spans multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of all IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage systems and other critical IT components working in partnership with managed service providers.
  • Working with the IT Manager, assist in the design, configuration and deployment of new technologies in alignment with project requirements and business objectives.
  • Provide onsite technical support for issues related to computer systems, software and hardware that require physical attendance and cannot be remediated by third party managed service providers.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and capacity making recommendations for improvements or expansions.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure infrastructure security controls are implemented and adhered to.
  • Work with the IT Manager to ensure vendor risk assessments are conducted for all vendors and reviewed periodically in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies, for example ISO27001.
  • Provide advanced support for infrastructure issues escalating as necessary.
  • Investigate recurring issues to identify underlying causes and prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working within IT operations and the ability to provide 3rd tier support.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, server management, storage solutions and virtualization.
  • Experience with Microsoft stack including Azure, Entra ID and Office365.
  • Proven experience of data backups and retention capabilities within SharePoint.
  • Experience with solution deployment, optimisation and continual service improvement.
  • Experience with MS cloud platforms including Azure, PIM and Intune. Microsoft Azure PowerApps experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with ITIL, ITSM or other process frameworks is beneficial.
  • Experience of using OneTrust or similar systems to support vendor management.
  • Ability to analyse problems and provide effective solutions.
  • Growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in hardware and software systems and implementation.
