Job Description

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Implement and monitor system upgrades and patches to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and industry standards.
  • Document processes, configurations, and changes to infrastructure systems.
  • Contribute to the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Liaise and work with third parties and vendors to ensure service levels are met.
  • Act as technical escalation point where necessary as part of a technical support escalation or lead during incident resolution.
  • Participate in the IT on-call rota providing 24x7x365 cover.

The Successful Applicant

  • Deep understanding of Windows Server, M365 and Linux operating system.
  • Expert understanding of cloud platforms - Azure (preferred), GCP.
  • Expert knowledge of M365.
  • Strong knowledge in Identity Management - Active Directory, EntraID, Azure AD.
  • Confident in the build/configuration/management of HPe hardware.
  • Good understanding of core network services - DNS, DHCP.
  • Comfortable with advanced PowerShell scripting.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of build automation - AutoPilot.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools - Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, AppInsights.
