Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Home Base with 1 day per week from the office

Role Overview: As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing Azure and Hyper-V environments, maintaining strong networking capabilities, and supporting various IT systems and services. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to IT documentation, adhere to security standards, and provide technical support to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Azure and Hyper-V environments, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain strong networking skills, including configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and streamline operations.
  • Create network diagrams and other IT documentation to document system configurations and changes.
  • Implement and adhere to ISO27001 Security Standards and operational guidelines.
  • Set up and troubleshoot Group Policy to manage user and computer configurations.
  • Manage VMware vSphere environments for virtualization needs.
  • Configure and maintain Veeam Backup and Replication for data protection and disaster recovery.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
  • Utilize ticketing systems to track and resolve IT issues and requests.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on SAN and NAS storage systems.
  • Configure and manage networking equipment from vendors such as Juniper and Extreme Networks.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Azure and Hyper-V infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols, with experience in router, switch, and firewall configuration.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and task simplification.
  • Ability to create network diagrams and other IT documentation.
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 Security Standards and operational guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Group Policy setup and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere management.
  • Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint implementation and management.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems for IT service management.
  • Experience in SAN and NAS maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Juniper and Extreme Networks configuration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry certifications such as Azure certifications, MCSA, or equivalent.
  • Experience in cloud migration projects and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Previous exposure to ITIL practices for IT service management.
