Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Engineer to support and manage infrastructure services, systems, applications, and hardware in line with GKN standards and industry best practices. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, assisting front-line IT staff with complex infrastructure challenges, and ensuring effective documentation and communication of problems and risks to maintain compliance and timely resolution.

What You’ll Do

Develops, maintains and administers infrastructure services, systems, applications and configurations and related hardware in accordance with GKN standards and industry best practices

Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving system, software and hardware problems

Support, Supports front line IT staff in complicated infrastructure related matters

Documents, tracks, monitors, and communicates problems and business risks to ensure timely resolution and compliance.

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent experience
  • IT infrastructure experience
  • An ability to follow processes
  • Self-driven with a motivation to succeed and provide world class services to the business
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Experience working in a high availability, high demand environment
  • Able to work effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Good communication skills in English and native language – both verbal and written

Desirable

  • Technical certifications in Operating Systems, Microsoft Azure or equivalent
  • Technical certifications in Powershell or other relevant script technologies
