This is a hands-on role, working directly with delivery teams, technical experts, and stakeholders to ensure scalable, resilient solutions are delivered on time and within budget.You’ll be part of a collaborative Service & Infrastructure function, reporting to the Head of Technical Operations, and will be actively involved in delivery—often on-site—to provide leadership, escalation support, and ensure service, support, and maintenance are always considered.ResponsibilitiesLead multiple infrastructure and technical operations projects across the UK and Europe.Own delivery across time, scope, and budget, with a strong on-site presence during project activities to provide real-time leadership and escalation support.Ensure service strategy, support, and maintenance are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and document detailed technical requirements.Identify integrations, dependencies, and assumptions early to support smooth delivery.Planning & DocumentationTechnical Scope DocumentsProject Plans with milestones and ownershipLive Activity Trackers (task status, dependencies, resource assignments)Weekly Checkpoint Schedules (agendas and outcomes)Resource Allocation PlansRisk & Issue Logs with mitigation strategiesChange Control ProcessesBuild contingency into project planning to manage uncertainty and riskEnsure time estimates are realistic and account for BAU responsibilities and competing priorities of project item ownersService AlignmentCollaborate with service teams to ensure seamless handover and operational readiness.Ensure long-term support and maintenance considerations are factored into all technical solutions.Budget ManagementManage CapEx and OpEx budgets with accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting.Align financial planning with project milestones and resource needs.Align project outcomes with broader business objectives.Support prioritisation, resource balancing, and portfolio-level reporting.Technical DeliveryCoordinate infrastructure and networking deployments across Europe.Work directly with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation.Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies is essential.Communication & ReportingProvide weekly progress updates to stakeholders.Lead regular checkpoint calls with internal and external teams.Escalate risks and issues with actionable solutions.Work side-by-side with technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment.Foster a culture of accountability, positivity, and continuous improvement.TravelRegular travel across the UK and Europe is required.On-site presence during key project activities is expected to ensure ownership, support, and escalation management.What You BringProven experience managing infrastructure and technical operations projects (e.g., networks, data centres, physical tech rollouts)Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, project methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP), and ITIL frameworksHands-on experience with Cisco technologies and European networking deploymentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong technical acumen – able to understand and challenge technical designsHighly detail-oriented and methodical in planning and deliveryComfortable working at both strategic and tactical levelsSkilled in producing and maintaining high-quality project artefactsAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demandsResilient, proactive, and patient in problem-solvingExperience in field-based or hybrid working environmentsProficient with collaboration tools: MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePointBonus: PMP, PRINCE2 certification and a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldBe part of a global leader in automotive technologyWork on impactful, high-visibility projectsEnjoy a supportive, forward-thinking culture that values innovation, flexibility, and work-life balanceCollaborate with brilliant minds across EuropeGrow your career in a business that’s always evolvingSTRICTLY NO AGENCIES PLEASE:We work with a carefully selected set of recruitment agencies and we're not looking to add to our PSL.
